Medical TechnologisT iii

Eastern Illinois University’s Health and Counseling Services is seeking candidates
for a Medical Technologist III. This is a full-time, 12 month position. Qualified
candidates must be an Illinois resident, have a Bachelor’s degree, have graduated
from an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Scientists and be board certified
by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent agency and
have five years of experience as a clinical laboratory technologist in a clinical
laboratory of a hospital or out-patient clinic, two years of which must have been at
a level comparable to that gained at the Level II of this series or a Master’s degree
in medical technology, biology, microbiology, chemistry, physiology or closely related
field, or a MBA plus a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and four years of
experience as a clinical laboratory technologist in a clinical laboratory of a hospital
or out-patient clinic, two years of which must have been at a level comparable
to the Medical Technologist II.
Qualified candidates will be required to pass a Civil Service Examination.
