THE NURSES WERE
BEYOND FANTASTIC

Alyssa and Cody Holsapple, Macon

After welcoming their first child in early December, Alyssa and
Cody Holsapple’s son was experiencing respiratory issues and
stayed two days in DMH’s Level 2 Nursery.

“It was a little scary but everyone explained everything very
well and we were comfortable. We were able to visit him,
along with grandparents the next day,” said Alyssa & Cody.
Babies requiring Level 2 Care are able to receive a higher
level of care without being transferred out of town.

“We strive to keep our families together; having dedicated
Pediatric Hospitalists and specially trained Level 2
nurses allow us to keep our families in Macon County,”
said Sue Hesse, RN, DMH Director of Women & Children Services.
