Lions hear LifeLinks presentation

MATTOON -- The Lions Club of Mattoon recently heard a presentation from Darla Cornelis, who is a certified Wellness Recovery Action Plan coordinator at LifeLinks.

LifeLinks is a nonprofit community mental health center licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services. The objective of LifeLinks is to help individuals and families assess needs to combat stress, depression, addictions, and other problems as discovered. Their "Wellness Toolbox" deals with daily maintenance, triggers, early warning signs, breaking down, crisis planning and post-crisis.

Cornelis spoke about how the LifeLinks staff can work with individuals or families to help create a more stable environment. LifeLinks, which serves East Central Illinois, can be contacted at 217-238-5700 or www.lifelinksinc.org.
