SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. -- Are you interested in an up-close look at the life, faith and community living of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods today?
The sisters invite you to get to know them by enjoying a meal with them at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Choose a meal time from March 8-14 at 11:30 a.m. for lunch or at 5 p.m. for supper. Enjoy the meal with the sisters in the Providence Hall Dining Room.
The luncheons and suppers coincide with National Catholic Sisters Week.
“You can have the chance to experience how normal we really are,” Sister Editha Ben said. “We will all take part in informal chats and get to know each other.”
Last year was the third year the Sisters of Providence offered this opportunity and the sisters enjoyed visiting with those who took advantage of it.
According to Sister Editha, a mother brought her three young daughters for the experience and said the experience was beautiful.
“The people who attended last year were grateful for the opportunity to interact with the sisters. And for those who have known the sisters, they were grateful to renew their friendship,” Sister Editha said.
After the meal, you may choose to participate in an informal tour of historic Providence Hall convent or view a short video about the sisters today.
The meals are free, but seating is limited and early registration is required. Sign up at MeettheSistersMeal.SistersofProvidence.org or by calling or texting Sister Editha Ben at 812-230-4771.
