ARTHUR -- Community members are invited to join Arthur Christian School for homecoming weekend festivities on Friday, Nov. 17 to support the school and its “Catch the Vision” campaign.
The school wishes to continue its God-given vision to equip and prepare students to advance the Kingdom. The school reported that it cannot carry out this mission without fund-raising help for facility needs. In order to meet the school's mortgage payment for 2018, the “Catch the Vision” goal for this event is $50,000.
Community members can help by donating and/or pledging for four years during the weekend festivities or online at www.arthurchristian.org/catch-the-vision.html. The community also is invited to cheer on the school's teams during the inaugural basketball game in their new gymnasium against Hammond Baptist on Friday night. Audience members are encourage to wear the school colors.
Friday, Nov. 17
3:30 p.m., 4-6 and 7-8 grade basketball games
5:30 p.m., Junior varsity and varsity basketball games
5-7 p.m., Fundraiser dinner
Saturday, Nov. 18
8-10 a.m., Pancake and sausage breakfast
10 a.m.-3 p.m., Three-on-three basketball and co-ed volleyball tournament
All current and former parents, students, staff, coaches or athlete of ACS/AMS, AOC or Okaw Prairie are invited to join them for these festivities or participate in the tournaments.
Entry for the three-on-three basketball tournament is $60 per team. Entry for the co-ed volleyball tournament is $120 per team, and each team must have at least two females and a minimum of six players. Particiapnts can contact the school to register their team. Participants can play in both tournaments. They can also register as an individual for $20, and they will be placed on a team.
