CHARLESTON -- The Farm Hands gospel bluegrass quartet return to Charleston Wesley UMC on Aug. 12.

At the 2017 Bluegrass Music Awards, the Farm Hands were named Entertainer of the Year and, for a third consecutive year, bluegrass music's Gospel Band of the Year. The group features four award-winning singers, musicians and songwriters, including two long-time veterans of Nashville's Grand Ole Opry.

Their performance begins at 6 p.m., but they invite you to come early (any time after 4:30 p.m.) to enjoy Smoky's Barbeque, fair food, ice cream, and games for the kids. The concert will be outside, so bring a lawn chair. The event will move indoors if it is raining.

Wesley UMC is located at 2206 4th Street, just south of the EIU campus. Parking overflow is in the EIU lot adjacent to the church.
