Clark County Inter-agency to meet Thursday

The Clark County Inter-agency will meet at noon Thursday at Richards Farm Restaurant.

The speaker will be George Seaver from the State of Illinois Comptroller’s office. Lunch will cost $9.


Valentine’s Dance set at Windsor High School

The Windsor High School Band will host a Valentine’s Dance at the high school from 7-9 p.m. Saturday.

Music will be provided by the Sounds of Swing.

The event is open to the public and entry fee is a free-will donation.

Desserts and drinks will be provided by the hosts.


LLC Broadcasting Club sets

Valentine’s Day bake sale

The Lake Land College Broadcasting Club will host a bake sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, in the college’s Student Center.

The Broadcasting Club will also allow people to profess one’s love to another on the air at The Max Alternative, 89.9 FM.

In addition, a Valentine’s Day prize package will be awarded and the public is invited to register for this drawing.

OVMS Student Council Raising Funds for St. Jude

The Okaw Valley fifth and sixth grade Student Council are sponsoring a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

They are selling construction paper personalized hearts for display outside the Okaw Valley Middle School office door for $1. All proceeds will go to St. Jude.

To purchase a heart, stop by the Okaw Valley Middle School office or contact one of the following student council members: Shelby Harding, Isabella Benning, Kenneth Lucas, Ayden Matheson, Chloe Wirey, Mackenzie Ingram, Chloe Ryherd, Kate Jeffers, Camden Coleman, Dirk Bruyn, Kami Landreth, and Isaac Dickens.

The hearts will be available for purchase until Valentine’s Day, which is Thursday.
