CHARLESTON -- The Corn Belt Shrine Club has announced that the club donated $86,000 to Shriners Hospitals for Children during 2017.

Club president Tad Freezeland made the announcement at the December meeting of the organization. Gerry Williams, 2017 Potentate of Ansar Shriners, was one hand to receive the ceremonial check presentation. The club’s hospital donation came from money raised from various events, including a motorcycle raffle, side-by-side utility vehicle raffle, truck and tractor pull, and the J. B. Gough memorial ride.

The club’s contribution was directed to Shriners Hospital in St. Louis and earmarked for use in the acquisition of an advanced full-body 3D imaging system.
