EFFINGHAM -- Towne Square Jewelers of Charleston donated a black diamond pendant that will be awarded to one lucky winner during Cheers!, a cocktail party and dance that raises funds to support the Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Guild Scholarship Program, according to a press release.

The public is invited to purchase tickets to the event, scheduled from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham.

As part of the night’s activities, participants will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to four tasting stations including wine, microbrew beers, whiskey and cordials. Each ticket purchased during the “Booze & Bling” portion of the event provides a chance to win the diamond pendant. The 14K white gold pendant is set with a 2.97 carat round treated black diamond surrounded by a halo of white diamonds and is valued at $2,885.

For more information about Cheers!, or to purchase admission tickets, contact Kim Lockart at 217-238-4765.
