STRASBURG -- The public is invited to a Holiday Stroll in Strasburg on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. to visit local businesses and churches.
Participating are 32 Below, Country Financial, Edwards Crafts, Junk to Gems, Krile Auction Service, Kull Appliance Service, Olivier’s Country Creations, Short Stop, The Gym, Uptown Hair, York Bin Company, Strasburg Fire Department, Grace Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and United Methodist Church.
Pick up a Holiday Stroll map at the Strasburg Community Center beginning at 2 p.m. Visit every stop on the map and collect a stamp for visiting every location. Then turn your map in at the Community Center to be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Prizes include $50 cash, $25 Marathon gift cards, wooden sleigh and more. Vote for your favorite decorated Christmas tree at each stop with penny votes.
From 4-6 p.m., members of the Strasburg Community Action Network (SCAN) will be serving a soup supper at the Community Center for a free-will donation. The menu includes chili, chicken noodle and loaded potato soups, as well as a variety of desserts. Children (and maybe some adults) will be able to decorate their own sugar cookies. All net proceeds from the best decorated Christmas Tree Penny Vote and the Soup Supper will go to the Stew-Stras Blessings in a Backpack.
At 6 p.m. the village and SCAN will host a brief Year-End Recognition Celebration as they celebrate the 2017 improvements throughout the village and the volunteers and organizations who made it happen.
