MATTOON -- The Mattoon JROTC presented the colors at the Exchange Club of Mattoon as part of its program for Veterans Day.

The Ex-Commander of the JROTC and current Exchange Club member, retired Col. Yelk, introduced the three cadets -- Jacob Stuart, Cadet Commander Allisandra Feager, and Colin Ralph -- and the current Commander Todd Stokes.

Student Commander Feager spoke about the skills that are learned in the JROTC Program. The program develops leadership skills and business skills as well as basic military skills.

Mattoon is one of the oldest JROTC programs in the state, having started in 1912.
