NEOGA -- The Neoga Area Community Cantata performers have been preparing since early October for this year’s performance of the cantata titled "O Night Divine."
The public is invited to this cantata full of new Christmas songs threaded together by powerful, well-known songs with rich narration and colorful arrangements. A total of eight numbers will be performed. Featured soloist this year include the brother-sister teams of Amanda VanScyoc and Andy Janes and Marion Lindley and Jim Whitaker.
The performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Grace United Methodist Church. The cantata is once again under the direction of Kirby Davis and narration for the program will be read by Seth James.
Refreshments will be served following the performances in the fellowship hall. The choir of 27 members invites everyone in the community and surrounding area to come join them for the 12th annual cantata to help begin their Christmas season.
