MATTOON -- Jennette Pauley-Thompson-Greathouse, 95, of Shelbyville passed away at 4:40 a.m. on January 23, 2014 at Shelbyville Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Funeral Services honoring her life will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday January 26, 2014 at Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL with Reverend Don Panky officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Jennette was born on December 20, 1918 in Detroit, MI the daughter of James and Lidia (Zimmerman) West and Joseph and Melinda Davidson. She married James Greathouse. He precedes her in death.
Survivors include her children, June Risinger of Gays, IL, Richard (Cecela) Pauley of Braidwood, IL, Mary Ellen (Vern) Osborn of Oconee, IL, Raymond “Buss’ (Judy) Pauley of Mattoon, IL, Linda (Larry) Lee of Shelbyville, IL, Gary Dean Pauley of Allenville, IL; step children, Leonard Pauley of Mattoon, IL, Oliver (Pauline) Pauley of Mattoon, IL; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and special friend, Louise Gardner of Dallas, TX. Jennette was preceded in death by her parents, four daughters, and one son.
Jennette worked at the Mattoon Hospital for thirty years. She later worked for Dr. Dippold. She was a member of the Moose, Eagles, and Women’s Auxiliary of the Eagles. Jennette loved Bingo, Fishing, and most of all being with her children and grandchildren.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
