CHARLESTON, IL -- Marjorie Elizabeth Mueller, age 80 of Charleston and formerly of Dix Hills, New York, passed away on December 25, 2017 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Her Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 902 Cleveland Avenue in Charleston, with Pastor Ken Hoover officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Donations in her honor may be made to the Coles County Animal Shelter or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Comfort Dog Ministry. Marjorie was born May 25, 1937 in Massapequa, New York, the only child of George and Muriel (Smaje) Stelzer. She and Ronald F. Mueller were married September of 1954 in New York and they shared 46 years of marriage prior to his death on November 18, 2000. Left to cherish her memory is a son, Eric Mueller and his wife Melinda of Charleston; a daughter-in-law, Joan Mueller of Boca Raton, Florida; four grandchildren, Crystal, Brian, Katherine and Matthew Mueller; and her dear friend of 74 years, Joan Atkinson of Connecticut. In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Timothy Mueller.
