CHARLESTON -- Sharon Ann Juriga, age 73 of Charleston, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the chapel with Pastor Mary Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Donations in her honor may be made to the Casey-Westfield School District Music Program and may be left at the visitation or service or mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
Sharon was born in Coles County, Illinois on July 12, 1944, a daughter of the late Alva and Chloral (Johns) Hanley. She married Robert Paul Juriga on August 19, 1962 and he preceded her on April 26, 2008. Surviving are three sons, Will (Larysa) Juriga of Chicago, Greg Juriga of Charleston, and David (Van) Juriga of St. Louis; four grandchildren; Camilla, Andrew, Elana, and Aaron; a brother, Paul (Kay) Hanley of Mattoon; five nieces; and a nephew. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma (Hanley) Cutright; a brother, Kenneth Hanley; and two nephews.
Sharon was a music teacher both privately and for the Casey-Westfield School District.
