SBL to host free informational sessions for weight loss
MATTOON -- Sarah Bush Lincoln is hosting free informational sessions for weight loss at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Feb. 5 and 19, and at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, Feb. 14 and 28, at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Center for Healthy Living, 1004 Health Center Drive, Suite 212.
The SBL Weight Management Program is a clinically monitored program geared for people of all sizes. The program uses the HMR (Health Management Resources) method, the nation's leading provider of weight treatment services to hospitals. Tickets available for fundraiser for health care scholarships
EFFINGHAM -- The 34th annual "Cheers!" event is a fun upscale cocktail party with dancing to raise funds for health care scholarships for area students and will be held March 3 at the Keller Convention Center, 1202 N. Keller Drive.
A 6 p.m. social hour will be followed by dancing and heavy hors d’oeuvres. This event is hosted by the Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Guild and Foundation; the cost is $75 a person. Net revenue supports health care scholarships for area students.
