Neoga school offers Veterans Day Breakfast
NEOGA -- The Neoga Elementary school staff and students will honor all veterans with a free breakfast at the elementary school located at 850 E. Seventh St. on Friday. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m.
The students of the Neoga school district will provide a Veterans Day program immediately following breakfast in the gymnasium. The public is invited to attend the program. The Sigel American Legion Honor Guard will present the colors. Please RSVP by calling 217-895-2200.
Veterans Day Brunch to be held in Casey
CASEY -- A Veterans' Day Brunch will be held from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Friday at Monroe School in Casey. The event will begin with a brief ceremony at the flagpole and will then continue inside where food will be served.

Vermilion County Museum Society to hold book sale
DANVILLE -- The Vermilion County Museum Society book sale is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Museum, 116 N. Gilbert St.
Books, ledgers, journals, magazines, Civil War books, local yearbooks, photographs, picture frames, record albums, collectibles and more will be available. Individuals have specifically donated items to the museum society for this sale. Proceeds will support the museum's Historical School Program.
Parking is available adjacent to the museum and the gravel lot to the south. Cash, checks, and VISA/MasterCard will be accepted. All items are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and all sales are final.

Light of Christmas Fair Trade Fashion Show and Market set
CASEY -- The "Light of Christmas" Fair Trade Fashion Show and Market will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Casey First Baptist Church.
A light breakfast will be served and followed by a fashion show of fair trade items from all over the world. Items will include clothing, handbags, home decor, stocking stuffers, baskets and coffee.
The event is free and for women of all ages. Women will see the importance of fair trade and sustainable business practices in the U.S. and around the world while enjoying the fashion show. Directly following the fashion show, women will have the opportunity to shop.

Embarras Volunteer Conservation Day set
CHARLESTON -- The Embarras Volunteer Stewards will hold a Conservation Day at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warbler Bottoms. This is another Grand Prairie Friends property along the Embarras River. Take Bypass Road opposite the Lake Charleston entrance, turn right on CR 550 N. and continue to the parking area.
All are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary. Sturdy footwear and gloves are recommended. Tools are provided, but extra loppers and shovels are welcome.
