Veteran Service Office moving to new location in Paris
PARIS -- The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) announces that the Veteran Service Office that was located at the USDA Farm Service Agency is moving to the newly renovated American Legion Post 211, located at 1031 N. Main Street in Paris. The first day for this office is today.
For the last several years, the USDA and their staff generously offered space to the IDVA for their Veteran Service Officer to meet with Edgar County Veterans. Having vital partners like the USDA allowed them to assist numerous Edgar County Veterans.
Blake Leitch, the Veteran Service Officer will continue to be available at this new location on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month, with operating hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed for lunch from noon–1 p.m.
Story Time to be held at Arthur Library
ARTHUR -- Story time will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Arthur Public Library, 225 S. Walnut, Arthur, featuring stories, music and activities for young children. The program will last approximately 45 minutes.
