PARIS — Kaye Dent, an attorney with Frisse & Brewster Law Offices, will be the featured speaker at the April Caregiver Support Group meeting at Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center.

The meeting will take place at 3 p.m. April 17 in Conference Room B at the hospital, according to a press release.

Dent will discuss issues of interest to seniors, including rules concerning family caregiver arrangements, life estates, and the legal meaning of “gift.”

Dent graduated from the University of Illinois and Hofstra University School of Law. She joined Frisse & Brewster Law Offices in January 2012. She is an expert in Social Security Disability appeals and helping clients qualify for benefits. She also has worked in the private and public sectors litigating criminal and civil matters.

The Caregiver Support Group is for caregivers, family members, or friends of someone diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or another chronic disease. It is held in collaboration with the Chester P. Sutton Center for Seniors of Edgar County.
