The Dave Melton Family Singers to perform

MARTINSVILLE -- The Dave Melton Family Singers will be in concert at the Martinsville First Christian Church at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Dave Melton Family Singers consists of Dave Melton, his wife Krista, and their five children: Trevin, Kyle, Kadence and identical twin girls, Macy and Gracie.

Growing up, Dave Melton traveled for over 20 years with The Melton Family Singers, proclaiming the gospel message through music and the preaching of God’s Word. Over the years Dave and his family sang thousands of concerts and preached hundreds of revivals, traveling well over a million miles.

Krista Melton began singing for the Lord as a little girl. She met Dave while singing in her own ministry and joined the Melton Singers after they were married.

Now Dave, Krista, and their children travel and minister in concerts, revivals, family camps and retreats. The concert is free and the public is invited to enjoy a night of encouraging gospel music.

Community Prayer Breakfast to be held Wednesday

MT. ZION -- Local businesses, community members and religious leaders will gather for the Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce’s sixth annual Community Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday. The program will include keynote speaker Courtney Carson, music and prayer.

This is the sixth year the prayer breakfast will be held at the Mt. Zion Convention Center, 1400 Village Parkway, from 7-8 a.m. Doors will open at 6:30 a.m. Pre-purchased tickets are required at a cost of $10 and include a breakfast buffet.
