Willow Creek Church Bazaar and Soup Day set
MARTINSVILLE -- The annual Willow Creek C. P. Church Bazaar and Soup Day is scheduled for today in the Martinsville Community Center, at 122 West Cumberland.
The doors will open at 9 a.m., with meals served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Browse through the crafts, snacks and baked goods including cakes, pies, and breads. Persimmon pulp will also be available for sale.
For $6 you can have your choice of chili or vegetable soup, along with a chicken or ham salad sandwich, relishes, your choice of drink and homemade dessert. Take-out meals will also be available.

Harvest Gift Gathering to be held at Casey Trinity Lutheran
CASEY -- The annual Harvest Gift Gathering will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Casey Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall at Second and Colorado streets.
Lunch will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. A silent auction will also be held.
Vendors and items include Agnus & Dora Clothing, Clever Containers, Cocoa Exchange, Compelling Creations, Mary Kay, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Palmers Primitives & Crafts, Poparatsi, Snap Jewelry, Tupperware, Whispering Oaks and more.
Proceeds will go to church and community outreach.
First Christian Church to hold monthly men's breakfast
MATTOON -- First Christian Church is conducting its monthly men's breakfast this Saturday at 7 a.m.
All men and young men in the area are invited to attend. First-time visitors eat free A $3 donation is requested. The breakfast will consist of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and fruit.
A lesson on the Kingdom of God will be presented by Eric Geiger, and a time of prayer is conducted by Pastor Steve Hayes, who is facilitating.

Military Appreciation Day to be held at First Church of the Nazarene
CASEY -- The Casey First Church of the Nazarene will be hosting their 22nd Annual Military Appreciation Day at 10 a.m. Sunday. This annual event is the way the church says “thank you” to all area veterans and active duty personnel.
Everyone in the community is invited to come and help the church honor our veterans and active duty personnel who have given so much to the country.
The service will begin with the posting of the colors promptly at 10 a.m. with patriotic music sung by the worship team. All veterans, active duty service members, and military spouses will be honored.
Immediately after the service, there will be a memorial service for the deceased veterans with a 21-gun salute outside. Everyone is invited to stay for a free meal following the service, at approximately noon.

This event will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Windsor Road Christian Church, 2501 W. Windsor Rd., Champaign. It will be facilitated by Christine Leeb.
There will be mid-week youth programs for your K-12th grade students to attend during this time.
