New Life Church to hold 'Following Jesus' class

CHARLESTON -- New Life Church plans to hold its "Following Jesus" class for November at 2 p.m. Saturday in the upstairs meeting area at County Market.

Community members are invited to join the church in discussing the essentials of Christianity, such as prayer, worship, the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and more.

Baptism Sunday to be held

SULLIVAN -- New Life Church plans to offer baptisms at the end of its 10 a.m. Sunday service.

New Life reports that water baptism is not just a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, but it's also a spiritual operation that separates one from their old life.

Next Step Class to be held

SULLIVAN -- Community members are invited to attend a Next Step class  at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at New Life Church in Sullivan to learn about the church's vision, values, and classes.

Annual Nativity Tour to be held

Greenup United Methodist to hold Christmas Bazaar

GREENUP -- The Greenup United Methodist Church located at 201 N. Kentucky St. invites the public to attend their annual Christmas Bazaar to be held at the church on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event will feature homemade cookies available by the “baker’s dozen”, craft tables, and tables of baked items.

The lunch menu will be chili, vegetable soup, sandwiches, homemade pie, tea, and coffee. Carry-outs will be available.

Shelby Christian Church to hold Christmas Bazaar

SHELBYVILLE -- A Christmas Bazaar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Shelby Christian Church, 200 North Hickory St.

The event is free to enter and open to the public. The bazaar has 30 vendors signed up to attend with everything from clothing, household items, to wood crafts. At the bazaar, they will also have sandwiches, chips, granola bars, soda, specialty coffee, and water at the bazaar to be purchased.

They are also having a silent auction with many items that have been donated from vendors. The proceeds go to Shelby Christian Church Mission Trip to Haiti.

Homecoming service and dinner to be held

TOLEDO -- Calvary Tabernacle church in Toledo is hosting a homecoming service and dinner at 2 p.m.  Sunday, Dec. 3.

This event will celebrate their fifth pastoral anniversary and the 80th anniversary of the church. The celebration will include an afternoon worship event followed by fellowship and dinner.
