NEOGA — A Jeep Ride to benefit Camp New Hope will be held on March 9.

Sign up starts at 11 a.m. at Camp New Hope, 1364 County Road 100 East, Neoga, and the ride will leave promptly at 12:30 p.m.

The route will be a country cruise with a few stops. It will end at the Toledo American Legion at 6 p.m. with a meal, auctions, silent auctions. The Sawyer Brothers Band will perform at 8 p.m.

The cost is $15 per jeep/vehicle and $5 for each passenger, which includes the meal and entertainment at end of ride.

Those who don’t participate in the ride are invited to attend the events at the American Legion. Donations are appreciated.

The following shirts will be available for presale: T-shirt, $15; long sleeve T-shirts, $20; and hoodies, $30.

They can be preordered by contacting Kristi Ryan at 217-276-3596,; or in person at America Off-Road Attics, across from Pilson’s Auto Center in Mattoon.

Due to state cuts, Camp New Hope is in need of assistance to help support various activities for the campers. Camp New Hope’s respite program provides caregivers an opportunity to take a break from caring for their disabled loved one, while knowing they are in a safe, caring environment.

Participants go to Camp New Hope’s new, fully accessible Respite Building instead of having respite workers come to their home. Campers at eight years and up are welcome.

For more information about the ride or to make a donation for the auction, contact Kevin McKay, 217-962-1215; Randy Dasenbrock, 217-821-0627; or Skynard Thornton, 217-254-3166.

Auction items can also be dropped off the night of the ride.

Last year more than $10,000 was raised for Camp New Hope and 115 jeeps participated. All vehicles are welcome.
