Millions of older adults are targeted for financial exploitation every year.  Your LifeSpan Center, in conjunction with The Gerontology Program and Business School at Eastern Illinois University, will host "The Money Smart for Older Adults" program on March 25, 26, and 27, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

This program is a financial resource tool designed to provide older adults ad their caregivers with information to recognize, prevent, and safeguard against elder financial exploitation.

"Money Smart for Older Adults" provides information that will help older adults better understand the different types of financial exploitation and how to reduce victimization, recognize different types of scams and their perpetrators, and prepare financially for a more secure future.

Participants of the course will receive a copy of the Money Smart Participation Guide to have for future reference of the course materials. Please call your LifeSpan Center at 217-639-5150 to register for this event.  Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited so call soon.
