MATTOON (JG-TC) -- Police officers arrested a Mattoon woman early Monday evening for allegedly spitting on an employee at Hardee’s.
A Mattoon Police Department press release reported that Stephanie L. Golden, 28, of Mattoon was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery at 4:51 p.m. in the 1800 block of Marshall Avenue.
The charge alleges that Golden first created a disturbance at Hardee’s, 1117 Lake Land Boulevard, by yelling and cursing through the drive-up window due to her not being satisfied with her food order. The charge alleges that she then spit on the employee through the drive up window. Golden was taken to the Coles County jail.
In other matters, Richard J. Connour, 24, of Mattoon was arrested on a charge of retail theft at 12:35 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Dewitt Avenue. The charge alleges that he took items from Rural King without having paid for those items. Connour was taken to the jail.
Separately, Andre M. Griffin, 31, of Mattoon was arrested for the charge of criminal trespass to a residence at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of North 23rd Street. The charge alleges that he entered a residence without permission to be there, and did so while having previously been banned from being at that residence. Griffin was taken to the jail.
