LETTER: Bias evident except for Fox

2012-11-13T17:00:00Z LETTER: Bias evident except for FoxBy Jim Bopp, Mattoon JG-TC.com

Ruth Marcus’s letter was informative, but failed to mention any super pacs used by the Democrats.

Are we to believe that Obama won using only $1 — $25 contributions from concerned citizens? No liberal bias there.

The day before the election, CNN had a “news” program interviewing disgruntled Mormons who felt unwanted by their church. Just a coincidence that Romney is a Mormon. No liberal bias there.

Fox News was essentially the only network truely covering the death of our ambassador in Libya while the administration was blaming the internet video despite knowing the truth. ABC, ABC, CBS, & CNN were content to wait until after the election when the investigation got to the bottom of what happened, despite it being clearly apparent that it was a planned attack.

How about some fairness on at least the local level?

And please, Connie, you can’t blame Bush for another 4 years. Remember Truman, the Democrat who correctly said “The buck stops here“?

I literally had to check that I wasn't reading The Onion. Even the name of the author was hilarious.

Thanks you "Jim Bopp," you brightened my day with your clever, tongue-in-cheek rhetoric.

what do you girls think th liberals on FOX news said about the election polls? you only refer to TWO.
3 of the top 5 super PACs are liberal.
What about George Soros, the billionare international socialist who finances many liberal organizations trying to destroy capitalism.
WHY do you think ABC, CNN, NBC really hide the murders in Libya by Al Quida terrorists. CBS did expose the Presidential death sentence to those poor ignored people in Libya.

Print news & television news anymore is nothing more than unsubstantiated story-telling hyperbole being passed off as "journalism." There's no professional journalism to it. But is one way to rid news media bias or passing off "opinion news" as indeed news & that would be to regulate the news media services. As Republicans are being pushed to be more like Democrats they could easily embrace this kind of regulation, requiring multiple unbiased sources & video footage. They'd have more to gain.

Rupert Murdoch should be deported as an undesirable alien. Let him go back to Australia and apply his phone hacking tactics, paying their police departments for inside information, and go Australian courts to sue for the right to lie to the public in their news casts. The only problems is that they probably wouldn't be willing to take this bottom feeding piece of human waste back.

The right is livid.. They relied on Fox news and talk radio for all their election information. They were told the polls were wrong. Fox news even had their leading pundit saying Romney was going to win by a landslide. Those from the right should be directing their anger towards a news network that lied to them. As far as Fox focusing on the embassy tragedy, what else would you expect from a network trying desperately to take the focus off their dishonest election coverage.

Yes, you right wingers write your little letters. Stay huddled there in your musty cave while you listen only to Fox News, the propaganda channel that assured you that WMD had been found in Iraq, that climate change doesn’t exist, that Christmas is some form of warfare and that Romney was sure to win the presidency with more than 300 electoral votes. Above all, shake your silly fists and continue to rage against reality, sunlight and facts.
