Michael Smith, a candidate for Regional Superintendent of Education, is a “man of his word”. If elected, he has a 10-point platform he has promised to address (such as forming a regional vocational high school, improve the Bridges Program, improve professional development focusing on technology, promote high school students to enter the education workforce and stay local, etc.). This list is a direct result of surveying and listening to the needs of area school administrators and teachers. Having work with Mr. Smith in the past when he was a teacher, principal, and Superintendent at Oakland Unit #5 Schools, I can attest to the fact he does what he says!
Mr. Smith is a dedicated advocate for improving education and for integrating the newest technology into all instruction. He is goal-oriented and so far, always accomplishes what he sets out to do.
The intellect Michael Smith possesses in dealing with school finances is remarkable. He would be a great mentor and resource for other school administrators. His willingness to share his educational experiences and knowledge with all area schools would be a “win-win” for all.
If you want a hard-working, motivated, educational leader who will chip away at his 10-point platform until it is completed, then vote Michael Smith as Regional Superintendent of Schools!
