Shelbyville falls in Consolation Championship, CIC

TUSCOLA — Shelbyville boys basketball was defeated 43-39 by Warrensburg-Latham in the Consolation Championship at the Central Illinois Conference Tournament on Wednesday.

For the Rams, Malcolm Miller had 26 points, and Turner Pullen had 13 points.

Shelbyville is 18-5 and will host Sullivan on Tuesday for a Central Illinois Conference game.

Sullivan takes 8th Place, CIC

TUSCOLA — Sullivan boys basketball took eighth place after they lost to Central A & M 87-50 in the Central Illinois Conference Tournament on Wednesday.

For the Redskins, Isaiah Plank had 14 points.

Sullivan is 7-14 and will play at Shelbyville on Tuesday for a Central Illinois Conference game.

Neoga falls to North Clay

LOUISVILLE — Neoga boys basketball lost to North Clay 61-55 in a conference game on Tuesday.

For the Indians, Reese Johnson had 18 points, and Drew Ramert had 11 points.

Neoga is 10-10, 2-4 and will host Red Hill on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tri-County trails over Chrisman

HUME — Tri-County girls basketball defeated Chrisman 67-13 on Wednesday.

For Tri-County, Elizabeth Tomlinson had 17 points. Harley Barry had three assists and nine steals. Maiya Eskew had three assists and six steals. Grace Burnside had five steals and three rebounds.

Tri-County is 23-4 and will play at Shiloh against Villa Grove/Heritage on Thursday starting with JV at 6 p.m.

Martinsville defeats Dieterich

MARTINSVILLE — Martinsville girls basketball defeated Dieterich in a close score of 46-42 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.

For Martinsville, Audria Truelove had 19 points, and Emily Parcel had 15 points.

Martinsville is 9-17 and will host Oblong on Thursday.
