Miller scores 32 in Shelbyville win

PANA — Shelbyville defeated Pana 75-62 Tuesday in a non-conference game.

Pana took a 24-13 lead in the first quarter, but Shelbyville only trailed by six, 35-29, at the half, tying the score in the third quarter at 50-50. The Rams went on to outscore Pana 25-12 in the final period for the win.

Malcolm Miller led the Rams with 32 points, while Turner Pullen and Kade Kull each added 17 points.

Shelbyville is now 2-0 and travels to Windsor to play another non-conference game against WSS on Friday.

Martinsville wins

MARTINSVILLE — Martinsville’s boys basketball team defeated Ramsey 73-60 Tuesday in a non-conference contest.

Four Bluestreaks broke into double figures: Dalton Rollings led the team with 23 points, while Garron Haenig scored 18. Colton Propst got 11 points, and Boyce Snearley had 10.

Martinsville improves to 2-7 and plays Decatur Christian at 1 p.m. Saturday in another non-conference game at Skywalker International Gym.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Casey-Westfield wins

CASEY — Casey-Westfield took a 14-2 lead in the first quarter and went on to defeat Palestine 46-26 Tuesday in a non-conference game.

Mackenzie Morgan led the Lady Warriors with 21 points, and Myriah Warner added 13. JaeLynn Riggleman led the team with six rebounds, four steals and two blocks.

Casey-Westfield improves to 4-3 and hosts Red Hill for a Little Illini Conference opener on Thursday.
