Each week the Journal Gazette/Times-Courier features some of the top performances of local high school athletes. Here is the list from Dec. 18-23:

Gabby Becerra/KayLee Hohlbauch, Arcola girls' basketball, 5-6 guard junior/5-11 forward, freshman

Becerra scored a season-high 14 points and Hohlbauch added 13 as Arcola downed Cumberland 44-19 in a non-conference game.

Austin Hill, Okaw Valley boys' basketball, 6-1 guard, senior

Hill scored a season-high 19 points as Okaw Valley beat WSS 43-36 Dec. 19. in a non-conference game.

Shae Littleford/Paige Swango, Charleston girls' basketball, 5-7 guard, freshman/5-8 forward, senior

Charleston won its fourth-straight game topping Marshall 70-44 Dec. 18 in a non-conference game. Littleford led the way with 20 points, while Swango chipped in with 19.

Tyson Magee, Cumberland boys' basketball, 6-2 guard, senior

Cumberland won its final game of the 2017 portion of their schedule beating Altamont 52-42 in a non-conference game, Dec. 19 as Magee led the way with 19 points.

Malcolm Miller/Turner Pullen, Shelbyville boys' basketball, 6-4 guard, junior/6-3 forward, senior

Shelbyville won its lone game of the week beating Altamont 81-69 in a non-conference game, to improve to 8-0. Pullen led the team in scoring with a season-high 28 points, while Miller added 26.

Kiersten Price-Wilson, Tri-County girls' basketball, center, junior

Price-Wilson led the Lady Titans to their eighth straight victory with a team-high 16 points in a 70-38 non-conference victory over Neoga Dec. 18.

Jaydn Princko, Mattoon, 5-10 guard, junior

Princko scored a team-high 19 points as Mattoon snapped a four-game losing streak with a convincing 90-55 win over Pana Dec. 19 in a non-conference game.

Paige Robinson, Okaw Valley girls' basketball, 5-10 guard, senior

Okaw Valley went 3-1 during the week with the only loss coming to Tuscola 52-40 in a non-conference game. The Lady Timberwolves beat Mount Zion in its own holiday tournament 53-47; Decatur Lutheran School Association, 55-13 and Martinsville 59-24 to win the championship. Robinson averaged 25 points per game. She led Okaw Valley, 14-4, in scoring in all four games with 34, 26, 17 and 23 points respectively.

Flannery Sanders, Mattoon girls' basketball, 5-5 guard, junior

Sanders scored a season-high 20 points as Mattoon downed Sullivan 51-39 in a non-conference game Dec. 18.

Hannah Wallen, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond, 5-4 guard, senior

Wallen averaged 15.5 points per game as the Knights went 3-1 during the week with the lone loss occurring in the title game of the Knights Classic, 65-61 to Decatur St. Teresa. Wallen led the team in three games, a 42-28 win over Chrisman, a 52-9 victory over Cumberland and the loss to St. Teresa with 10, 21 and 16 points respectively. She also had 15 in the Knights, who are 8-7, in a 49-31 triumph over WSS.
