TOLEDO -- The 25th annual boys' basketball Central Illinois All-Star game is set for March 24 at Waldrip Gym. There is to be a three-point contest at 7:05 p.m. and tip-off of the game involving senior players from the Little Okaw Valley Conference against senior players from the National Trail Conference, is set for 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $5.
Participating for the LOVC from the JG-TC area are Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond's Will Cohan and Colton Romine along with Cumberland's Tyson Magee and Martinsville's Dalton Rollings. Okaw Valley's Jared Bunfill and Austin Hill along with Tri-County's Cody Richardson and Dylan Campbell are also on the 15-member team. Other non-area players are from Argenta-Oreana, Cerro Gordo/Bement, Hutsonville/Palestine, Decatur LSA, Oblong, and Villa Grove/Heritage.
The LOVC is to be coached by Tri-County's David Smith and Martinsville's Obie Farmer.
The NTC includes two JG-TC players among the 15 players in Neoga's Drew Ramert and WSS's Isaac Kramer. Other players are from Atlamont, Dieterich, North Clay, Effingham St. Anthony, St. Elmo/Brownstown and South Central.
Dieterich's Josh Krumwiede and Neoga's Bob Lockart are the NTC coaches.
Last year the NTC won 97-87. The last time the LOVC won was in 2015, 104-90. Prior to 2015 the game consisted of all-stars from the NTC against all-stars from the Little Illini Conference. The NTC won 14 of the 21 games.
