FORT WAYNE, Ind. – IPFW hit 10 of 15 3-point shots in the first half on its way to Saturday’s 86-65 non-conference men’s basketball win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday afternoon.

The Mastodons shot .625 from the field building a 54-39 halftime lead and finished with 13 3-pointers in 23 tries for the game while shooting .547 from the field overall.

Alex Austin’s 16 points, Sherman Blanford’s 12, Chris Olivier’s 11 and Reggie Smith’s 10 led Eastern, which fell to 3-8.

Steve Forbes had 20 points for IPFW, which is 10-4.
