CHAMPAIGN (JG-TC) — Lake Land defeated Parkland in a tight game with a final score of 61-60 for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday.

The game was a tight one all around, Lake Land and Parkland even both had five three-point goals each in the game.

For the Lakers, Aislinn Parrish had 11 total points, and Avery Jackson had 20 total points individually for the night.

Lake Land’s head coach David Johnson said he agreed with how tight the game was.

“It was a close game all the way,” Johnson said. “Our defense stands towards the end made a difference in the game.”

Lake Land is now 8-4 overall in the season, and will play again on December 28th at home against John Wood at 6 p.m.
