KANKAKEE -- The Lake Land volleyball team went 1-3 in a two-day Kankakee Community College Invitational. The Lady Lakers started the tourney Friday beating Illinois Valley three games to one. 

Lake Land dropped matches to McHenry College 25-20, 25-8, 25-14 and Miineral Area 25-16, 25-13, 25-12 in three sets and lost three to one to Moraine Valley 25-14, 23-25, 25-6, 25-19.

Brooklyn Elias led the Lady Lakers in the tournament with 32 kills, while Jannah Mullen had a team-high 30 digs and Alexandra Beckers finished with 93 assists. 

Shelbyville grad Claudia Watson had 28 digs, while Okaw Valley grad Kristina Burford had 25 digs and 18 kills. Shelbyivlle grad Ryann Ambrose had 31 kills and a team-high five blocks. 

Lake Land is 2-4 and is to travel to Centralia to face Kaskaskia College at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Great Rivers Athletic Conference match.
