A-L-A-H defeats Rantoul
RAMSEY — After trailing 5-1 after the third inning, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond scored nine runs in the fourth and went on to beat Rantoul 11-6 on Saturday. A-L-A-H improves to 3-4 with the win.
Marissa Herschberger was 2-for-5 with an RBI; Reagan Miller was 3-for-3 with a double; three runs and two RBIs; Taylor Powell was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI; and Addi Tinkle was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.
Casey-Westfield goes 2-1 at Tuscola Round Robin
TUSCOLA — Casey-Westfield won its first two games of the Tuscola Round Robin tournament on Saturday by beating Waltonville/Sesser-Valier 16-3 and Oakwood 15-1 before falling to Pinckneyville 4-3. Casey-Westfield is 13-2 on the season. Shelbyville scored 18 points and Neoga scored 10.50 points.
In the win over Waltonville/Sesser-Veller, Lindsay Beasley hit a home run and drove in three runs; Claire Maulding was 3-for-3 with a home run and four runs; Rachel Weger was 1-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs; Sheadon Wilson was 1-for-2 with a double and a run; Kate Jones was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI; Mackenzie Morgan was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs; Baylee Scott was 1-for-2 with a double and a run; and Harley Mason was 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
Against Oakwood, Jones went five innings in the win and struck out eight batters. Scott was 2-for-2 with a home run, a triple, two runs and five RBIs; Laney Gowin was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and an RBI; Beasley was 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs and an RBI; Weger was 1-for-3 with a triple, a run and two RBIs;, Jones was 1-for-2 with a triple, two runs and an RBI; Morgan was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI; Mason was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI; Maulding was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run; and Eva Richardson was 2-for-2 with a run and two RBIs.
Casey-Westfield had a 3-2 lead going into the seventh inning when Pinckneyville got a run in to tie the game and added another run in the eighth for the win. Maulding struck out 10 batters in the loss. Mason was 1-for-4 with a home run, a run and two RBIs; Scott was 2-for-3 with a double; Morgan was 2-for-4 with two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI; and Jones was 1-for-3 with a double.

C-W boys sixth, girls ninth at Terre Haute North meet
TERRE HAUTE — The Casey-Westfield boys track team scored 91.33 points to finish in sixth place at the Terre Haute North meet on Saturday. Terre Haute North won with 141 points. The Casey-Westfield girls track team scored 61 points to finish in ninth place. Terre Haute South scored 137 points for first place.
For the C-W boys, Nate Fouty won the discus with a toss of 125 feet. The 4x100 team won in a time of 46.51 seconds. Kyle Carver won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.08 and he was second in the 300-meter hurdles in 42.45. Cort Ross won the 3,200-meter run in 10:16.64 and was second in the 1,600-meter run in 4:47.24.
Trenton Day finished in second place with a distance of 18-2. The 4x200 team finished in second in 3:44.80. Blake Currey was second in the 400-meter dash in 54.63. The 4x800 team finished in third place in a time of 9:30.44.
For the C-W girls, Faith Frye won the long jump with a distance of 16-6.5, won the 100-meter dash in 13.49, won the 200-meter dash in 28.02 and was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.71. Elleigh Gardner won the shot put with a toss of 30-4.25 and was third in the discus with a throw of 80-4.5. Brittany Wright was third in the 800-meter run in 2:45.63.
WSS girls finish fifth at Pana
PANA — The WSS girls track team scored 41 points and finished in fifth place at the Pana Invite Saturday. Pleasant Plains scored 112 points to win the meet. The WSS boys finished in 12th with three points.
For the girls, Maria Gentry was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.27. Whitney Smith won the long jump with a distance of 15-5, won the triple jump with a distance of 31-10 and she was second in the 200-meter dash in 28.36.
Cumberland girls finish 4th at Robinson
ROBINSON — The Cumberland girls track team scored 43 points to finish in fourth place at Friday's Robinson meet. Newton won with 109 points.
For Cumberland, Jasmyn Dittamore won the 1,600-meter run in 5:52.22 and Victoria Ault was third in 6:12.09. Dittamore also won the 3,200-meter run in 12:32.25 and Ault was third in 13:32.41. Morgan Gerhardt was third in the pole vault after clearing 8-6.4.
For Shelbyville, Olivia Durbin finished second in the discus with a toss of 110-7. Carson Beyers was second in the pole vault after clearing 9-0.
Neoga's Abbi Kepp was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.24 and Kylee Phillips was fourth in the 3,200-meter run in 13:59.57.
