COLLINSVILLE -- North American Lighting, which has a facility in Paris, has won an Energy Savings Award from Ameren Illinois.
According to a press release, North American Lighting was one of the organizations that were named Ameren Illinois Energy Innovator Award winners during an awards reception recently in Springfield. The inaugural Energy Innovators competition recognizes organizations for their outstanding achievements in energy efficiency.
"Our Energy Innovator award recipients represent the best of the best in energy efficiency in Illinois," said Ameren Illinois President Richard Mark. "These organizations have taken a proactive approach to energy efficiency and tailored their programs to meet the specific needs of their communities or their organizations. We are pleased to recognize these progressive organizations for their work to reduce energy usage and promote energy efficiency."
The Energy Savings Award recognizes energy efficiency projects that generated significant cost savings by reducing energy usage. To be considered for an Energy Innovator award, projects or programs had to take place between June 1, 2017, and May 31, 2018. North American Lighting received a $1,000 award to continue its efficiency efforts in 2019.
