CHARLESTON - Pianist John David Moore and violinist Elaine Fine will play a concert on Nov. 17 at the Tarble Arts Center Atrium.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature music for violin and piano by four British composers who were active during the first decades of the 20th century.
This concert, titled "Violin and Piano Music from the Time of the Great War," will include a sonata completed on Christmas Day 1914 (a date that some Germans and Russians believed the war would be over) by the Scottish composer Sir John Blackwood McEwan; a sonata by the London-born Thomas Frederick Dunhill; the "Legend" by Sir Arnold Bax, and the D-minor violin sonata by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The concert is free and the public is invited to attend.
