Calling all volunteers!

Our 3rd annual Tour de Charleston, sponsored by 1st Fed of Central Illinois, is right around the corner on Saturday, June 1, and we are excitedly preparing for the big day.

The success of this event for our participants and the community is largely dependent on our wonderful volunteers. Throughout the day we will need volunteers to help with registration and along the 12.5, 25, 50 and 1-mile Family Fun Ride routes to help guide traffic to keep participants safe, and to help with our various re-fuel stations along the course.

If you, your organization, or your business would like to volunteer, please contact me at president@charlestonchamber.com!

I would also encourage everyone to come out and watch the bike race! The riders will take off at 8 a.m. from the Courthouse Square, next to City Hall. Please come out and help to give them a wonderful, cheer-filled send off!

Race day will be jam packed with fun activities for all; the 1-mile Family Fun Ride will take off at 9 a.m.. Pre-registration is only $15 and includes an event-T-shirt.To register, visit charlestonchamber.com or active.com.

At the race, we will have food vendors and a live DJ. Beginning at 10 a.m., the 5th annual MuseFest will begin and will include over 35 vendors, food vendors, a kids area, and live music. Make sure to visit Rocs for the post-race Porch Party, with food and drink specials, and a beer tent with Riggs beer! We encourage everyone to come out for a fun day and can’t wait to see you all there!

Funding for the Tour de Charleston provided in part by city of Charleston Tourism Fund.
