The Coles County Fair will soon be here! The fair will run from July 29 to Aug. 5 at the fairgrounds in Charleston.

The Coles County Farm Bureau Young Leaders will once again be hosting the following events, so be sure to mark it on your calendars for some family fun:

Kiddie Tractor Pull - Tuesday, July 31 at 4-H Show & Sale Arena.

Check-in begins: 5 p.m.; pull starts: 5:30 p.m.; no admission fee. Kids up to 100 pounds are eligible to participate.

Master Showmanship Contest – Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 4-H Show & Sale Arena.

Showmanship champions and reserve champions of the cattle, hog and sheep shows will compete against each other to win the title of Coles County Master Showmanship. The Coles County Master Showmanship winner will then compete at the Illinois State Fair. Starts at 6 p.m., no admission fee

  • 6 p.m., Sheep Show

Tuesday, July 31 - 4-H Show & Sale Arena, Coles County Fairgrounds

  • 10 a.m. Beef Show

 Thursday, Aug. 2 - 4-H Show & Sale Arena, Coles County Fairgrounds

  •  5 p.m., 4-H livestock awards presentation. Presentation by Coles County Young Leaders and Coles County Extension Foundation
  • 5:30 p.m., 4-H Livestock Auction

Friday, Aug. 3 - Horse Arena

  • 9 a.m. Horse & Pony Show
