MATTOON -- Sarah Bush Lincoln AdvantAge 50 will take a trip to kick off the spring planting season on May 21.

Monrovia Mudworks is the first stop on the trip, with a pottery demonstration, and participants will receive a take home gift. The trip next includes a stop at Frazee Gardens where participants can shop in the garden center and also participate in a “Hammered Fern” workshop. Lunch is included at Dawson’s Too Sticks and Stones.

The final stop of the day will be Avon Gardens, which was featured in Mid-West Living. Not only is it a nursery, the grounds contain beautiful garden settings to inspire and delight. Before returning home, participants will be treated to a “special surprise.” There is plenty of storage under the bus to hold all planting purchases.

The cost of the trip is $105 per person, which includes lunch, and tip for the bus driver.
