Fifty-one students from CHS participated in Take a Student to Work Day on Wednesday, November 28. Some stayed in the building shadowing teachers and other faculty, but others ventured beyond its walls. Whatever they did, it’s apparent that the day was very useful in helping students decide what career paths they will take in the future.
When asked her opinion about the day, Junior Hope Beever stated, “It is a good experience to go out and see new things and to have an opportunity to try out future careers.”
Chase Bosler shadowed CHS choir teacher, Mrs. Sharp. He stated, “I really enjoyed job shadowing because it helped me understand what I want to go into in the future.”
Lane Harrell shadowed math teacher Mr. Miller. He said, “It was an interesting experience and gave me a new perspective on my job.”
