CHARLESTON -- Eastern Illinois University’s Doudna Fine Arts Center is launching its 10th performance season at the facility in Charleston. The new season features a wide array of concerts, dance performances, theater productions, comedy troupes and much more. Tickets are available now.
The 2017-18 lineup includes amazing instrumentalists, dazzling dance performers, a spellbinding entertainer who will amuse you and frighten you with his tales of the fantastic, a holiday party that will have everyone jumpin’ and jivin’, and much more, according to a press release.
“We’re really looking forward to offering our audience guests a fun and entertaining year,” said Dan Crews, programming director at the Doudna. “Sometime I don’t think people realize what a wonderful facility the Doudna is and that it’s located right in their backyard.”
Crews also emphasized that area residents don’t have to drive a great distance and spend a lot of money for arts entertainment; all they need to do is come to the Doudna Fine Arts Center.
In addition to the premier events, the Doudna also presents a wide array of talented student performers from Eastern’s music and theater departments. Over 100 concerts, recitals, productions and special events will be presented in the facility. For a complete list of performances, visit the Doudna website at www.eiu.edu/doudna.
