MATTOON -- The Wabash Fire Protection District is scheduled to hold its annual chili supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 3287 Lake Road.
Entry to the meal is $5 per person. Money raised is used to buy needed equipment. This is their 12th year as first responders and the money is also used for their continued training and updating of their equipment.
Door prize giveaways, raffles and an auction also will be offered during the chili supper. Dessert and drinks are provided as well.
Raffle tickets are being sold for a quilt made by two women who live in Wabash fire's district. The tickets are $1 each or six for $5. There also will be a drawing for a .45 Long Colt Henry Lever Action Rifle, with tickets for $5 each. Tickets can be purchased from any Wabash firefighter or the night of the supper.
