Books Between Bites to hold meeting

MATTOON -- Books Between Bites will be held in the meeting room of the Mattoon Public Library at noon on Monday. Nancy Plummer will review the book "The Rock Hole" by Reavis Wortham.

Wortham lives in Texas and writes about stories he heard as a boy.

"The Rock Hole" is about a 10-year-old boy nicknamed Top (Texas Orrin Parker) who comes to stay with his grandparents in a little town called Center Springs, Texas. The narrator is Top and he describes many characters who live in the town. Top's grandfather is the county constable so he has information about the wrongdoing in Center Springs and Top is more aware of what is happening than his grandfather would like.

The public is invited and you may bring a sack lunch. Coffee and iced tea will be furnished.
