Mackville bluegrass group to perform at Salvation Army

MATTOON -- Community members are invited to attend a Mackville bluegrass gospel concert on Sunday at the Salvation Army building.

Mackwille, which is based in the Atwood area, is scheduled to perform for the church service at 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 1300 Richmond Ave.

Duplicate bridge results announced

Mattoon High School art show, concert to be held

MATTOON -- The annual Mattoon High School winter art show and music concert will be held Monday at MHS with free admission.

The art show, directed by Janahn Kolden, is from 5-7 p.m. in the cafe.

The concert and jazz choirs, conducted by Angi Dallas, will perform in the cafe at 6:30 p.m.

The concert and jazz bands, under the direction of Todd Black, will perform in the main gym following the choir concert at 7:30 p.m.

Adulting class to focusing on potted plants as holiday gifts

CHARLESTON -- #Adulting will meet in the Zone at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday for ages 14-22.

Give a potted plant to someone you love this holiday season. Spider plants and succulents are available to select and transplant into your chosen container.
