SHELBYVILLE — There is increasing evidence that brain health is directly related to body health; however, most people think more about keeping their bodies fit or their hearts healthy than working at maintaining a healthy brain.

Cheri Burcham, Family Life educator for the University of Illinois Extension, will be offering “Brain Training” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on June 17 and June 24 at the Shelby County Senior Center in Shelbyville.

Those who attend this class will perform a variety of brain exercises to improve memory and overall cognitive abilities. This is a Community Learning class through Lake Land College and pre-registration is required by calling 217-234-5434 or online at www.lakelandcollege.edu/learn.

For more information about the class, call the extension office at 217-543-3755.
