The Fields students to host Gender Games

MATTOON -- Join The Fields Church, 900 Dewitt Ave E., at 6 p.m. Sunday as the March SHIFT program decides who is the dominant gender during their "Gender Games."

They'll test your brains, brawn, beauty, and stamina. The winning gender will receive exclusive access to the build-your-own-sundae bar during the March After-Party.

Praise Assembly to hold Pinewood Derby

CHARLESTON -- Join Praise Assembly of God from 3-5 p.m. Sunday for an afternoon of racing fun with a pinewood derby. Participants have been working on their cars for the last month.

Kansas church to hold Ladies' Retreat

KANSAS -- The Kansas Christian Church plans to hold its annual Ladies' Retreat from March 9-10.

On March 9, the Ladies' Retreat will begin with a dinner at 5 p.m. followed by a program at 6 p.m. On March 10, the retreat will begin with a breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by a program beginning at 9 a.m. Any and all women are welcome to join Kansas Christian Church at this event.

"We have all enjoyed this event in past years and it is always made more special when women from other churches join us," Camille Baker of Kansas Christian Church said in a press release.
