Family Fun Night to be held at Solid Rock

Church plans Choice Recovery group nights
MATTOON -- Are you ready for the Change of your Life? Choice Recovery is a healthy way to spend your Friday night. "Topics of the Night" are presented in support of people getting and staying clean, sober and healthy while celebrating life together. Age group is 18 and over.
Their six-month Choice Recovery Program includes education in behavioral modification recovery which encompasses training and use of recovery tools in issues of PTSD/traumas, substance abuse (drugs/alcohol), various addictions, base domestic violence issues (not a DVD course), self harm (cutting/burning etc.), and a broad range of disorders and dysfunctions.
Class sessions are every Friday night: women 5-6:20 p.m. and men 6:30 - 7:50 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1600 Wabash.

Couples' Night Out to be held at Immaculate Conception
MATTOON -- Calling all married couples 6 months to 60 years for this Pre-Valentine opportunity to refresh your marriage, add sizzle to your life and be happier in just minutes a day.
Dustin and Bethany Riechmann are guest speakers at the first Couples Night Out event for married couples to be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Mattoon on Saturday after 4 p.m. Mass with social hour starting at 5 p.m. and dinner, catered by Luigi’s, at 6 p.m. in the IC Parish Center.
All are welcome; cost is $30 per couple and there will be free babysitting in St Mary’s School. Tickets will be on sale after all the Masses this weekend.

Singles at First to hold chili and game night
MATTOON -- Singles at First is hosting a chili and game night at 5 p.m. Saturday. The chili and dessert is provided; please bring a drink to share .
Single's at First is a Christian singles group that is open to all churches. This group exists and has grown having fun, fellowship, and making friends.

Super Sunday to be held at Praise Assembly
CHARLESTON -- Kick off Super Bowl Sunday at Praise Assembly in Charleston from 10:15 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. This event will feature a few special giveaways and special guest Tom Richardson.
A free “tailgate” breakfast will be available before the morning service, and they encourage you to invite a friend or several. Wear your favorite team jersey if you like.
Service will end at the normal time, but all are invited back to the church 5:30 p.m. where they will have the Super Bowl broadcast on the big screen with plenty of great food. Games will be set up for adults and kids as well. Bring a dish to share and join us for this family friendly event in the morning and the evening.
'Souper' Bowl of Caring event to be held
MATTOON -- This coming Sunday, consider bringing in a can of soup or a donation to participate in First Presbyterian Church's "Soup-er Bowl of Caring" collection from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
The youth will be helping collect cans of soup at the door to donate to the Mattoon Food Center.

SHIFT Super Bowl Party to be held at Fields Church
MATTOON -- Join The Fields Student Ministries for Super Bowl 52 from 5-10 p.m. Sunday. This event features a tailgate party, Madden tournament, Super Bowl fan competition zone and ladies lounge.
A $50 gift card will be awarded to the "biggest fan" at halftime, so be sure to dress in your Sunday team best. This event is for all middle school and high school students.

Casey In Action to offer Christian music concert
CASEY -- The Casey In Action community booster group plans to hold “Salt and Light -- An Evening of Christian Music” at 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Casey United Methodist Church.
Performers at the “Salt and Light" concert will include the Legacy gospel quartet, Jake and Mikayla Hoult, Roger Biggs, Gary Fairchild, John Crouch, Ty Tuttle and Cara Shoaff. During the concert, donations will be taken for Casey In Action community improvement projects.
