EDGEWOOD -- An Arcola man was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when he was injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday morning on Interstate 57.

Illinois State Police District 12 in Effingham reported that the crash occurred at 7:35 a.m. as Kyle L. Kepley, 22, Arcola was driving his pickup north on I-57 approximately 2 miles north of Edgewood. The pickup left the roadway to the right and struck the guardrail on the right shoulder. This vehicle came to rest in the right ditch, facing southeast.
