The release said other police agencies were called to assist and a perimeter of the area was established before Reyes was located. He was then arrested without further incident, it said.

Reyes was arrested on a warrant issued for what records show was a failure to appear in court for probation progress hearing in a drug case and a pending battery case.

The release said he was also arrested on suspicion of fleeing or eluding police and obstructing justice. it said Charleston, Mattoon and Eastern Illinois University police assisted in the search and arrest.
